This live edge burlwood mirror in maple is unique in that the live edge naturally appears on both the interior and exterior of the piece. Remnants of the root system are also intact along the outer edges of the mirror. The warm and cool colors and various wood grain patterns of the wide frame make it even more interesting. You can use this versatile burl wood mirror as an accent mirror in a hallway or a bathroom above a natural wood slab vanity.
We ethically source all of our slabs from North America and air dry in our Nashville, TN studio. Many pieces of our wood are salvaged from the forest floor. The end grain burl log in this mirror is not a common piece of wood and is not often available. Also, not all hollow trees are structurally sound. The raw edges of this hollow maple burly log have been carefully preserved. We apply an eco-friendly hardwax-oil manually to create a durable finish on this mirror. This particular live edge burl wood mirror is one-of-a-kind.
We do have other rustic mirrors available in other species of wood. Redwood is the most popular slab, but we also sell mirrors made from walnut, buckeye, oak, and reclaimed wood. If you are looking for a custom live edge mirror, please contact our studio for a quote or more information.
