Then you will notice a generous 4-inch wood picture frame effect around both sides and at the foot of the mattress. The wood slabs that we use for our rustic modern platform bed are ethically sourced from the Pacific Northwest. We air dry and then carefully select each piece of wood for its size, strength, and beautiful wood grain. Next, we shape, sand, and customize to meet your specific needs. Finally, we hand apply a premium hardwax-oil to the wood. This eco-friendly finish is extremely durable and stain-resistant.
While this bed is shown in a standard King size in Claro Walnut, we also make it in California King size or Queen size. Platform height can also be customized. Other custom options include floating nightstands, charging stations, or LED lighting. You can even select different species of North American wood.
