Live edge rustic kitchen cabinets are designed and created featuring the natural edge. What is a live edge wood? It is the outside of the tree. It can be bark on or off, but most of the time it is bark off. This is because after the tree dies from natural causes or cuts down the bark loosens from the sapwood. The logs are cut, leaving one or two sides with the natural live edge or also know as a natural edge. We use eastern red cedar, black walnut, maple, and redwood to create our natural edge rustic kitchen cabinets.
